COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Culinary Arts program will provide hands-on experience for students to learn every aspect of the food service and hospitality industry, from menu and quantity food preparation to dining room management. Students will be expected to participate in a wide variety of activities such as visiting area restaurants, creating new recipes, touring culinary schools, and hosting gues speakers. Creativity will be explored through preparing new recipes and revising them to the individual's personal tastes. This is an excellent course for anyone interested in any aspect of institutional or commercial food service operations.
